Las Islas Galápagos

Las Islas Galápagos son un archipiélago ubicado a 605 millas de la costa de Ecuador, uno de los pocos lugares que quedan en el mundo que se puede llamar un "paraíso natural", donde podrá interactuar con una extensa y a menudo endémica (sólo que se encuentran en las Galápagos).

Las islas están formadas por 13 islas principales, 3 islas pequeñas y más de 100 islotes. Las Galápagos son el hogar de especies como: leones marinos, ballenas, delfines, rayas, tiburones, pingüinos, iguanas terrestres y marinas, tortugas terrestres y marinas gigantes, así como más de 130 especies de aves registradas, incluidos piqueros de patas azules, fragatas, cormoranes no voladores. , flamencos y mucho más.

Galápagos es una aventura para todos donde se puede caminar en una de las calderas volcánicas más grandes del mundo, hacer kayak con pingüinos, hacer esnórquel o bucear con leones marinos juguetones, andar en bicicleta junto a tortugas gigantes, surfear con los lugareños y más.

  • Conditions: Warm, sunny days with occasional tropical showers, seas are generally calm and visibility for snorkeling is excellent.
     

Wildlife Highlights:

  • Sea turtles nesting on beaches (Dec–March)

  • Marine iguanas in full breeding colors

  • Courtship displays of frigatebirds and blue‑footed boobies

  • Conditions: Cooler air and sea temperatures, overcast skies, and nutrient‑rich waters attract abundant marine life. Seas can be slightly rougher.
     

​Wildlife Highlights:​

  • Large gatherings of sea lions and seabirds

  • Best chance to see penguins feeding close to shore
     

​Best For: Divers and wildlife enthusiasts — this is when marine life is at its peak.
